College Student Summer Jobs - Why Work This Summer?

With the current state of the world economy, it's getting more and more difficult to find college student summer jobs. I remember in the old days-like back in 1999, you couldn't walk down the street without tripping over several jobs. What a difference a decade makes!

Today, when you put your resume out at monster.com or some such place, you're lucky if you can trip over a job at Mcdonald's, let alone the once abundant college student summer jobs like dealing blackjack in the casino. It is a very disheartening situation out there for college students-which brings up the question-why work at all this summer?

Well, even in the midst of a recession, the parties don't stop. In the summer, you'll need money to go out to comb the beaches for good scenery, and to pick up on that scenery if you find it to your liking. You still need to go take advantage of the beautiful summer nights and the nightlife that you can only experience in the summer. For this reason, college student summer jobs are not just an option, they are a necessity.

So, what's the answer to this dilemma? Well, you need to think more creatively. Forget about the typical college student summer jobs where you slave away for eight hours for an ungrateful boss that thinks you should feel lucky just to be working in the first place. You probably wont get a job like that anymore anyway.

Who cares? Let the other saps have those traditional college student summer jobs. Why not work for yourself instead? How, you ask? The answer is staring you right in the face! Yes, the internet!

I know what you're thinking, "the internet is full of scams and there's not any real money to be made there." You are half right. The internet is full of scams, and you need to watch out for that. There is, however, ALOT of money to be made online.

Unlike the offline world of college student summer jobs where everyone is downsizing, the internet is growing. More and more people worldwide are going online to find the best value for their money and try to survive this tough economic climate. That's where you come in.

All you need to do is be the conduit between the perspective buyer and the inevitable sale. Okay, so it's there's more to it than that, but it's not much more complicated.

A big difference between online marketing and the offline college student summer jobs is freedom. You are your own boss. You work when you want, where you want-as long as there's an internet connection. No more missing important parties and road trips to the beach.

So, the choice is simple, really. In today's world where most people are out there struggling to survive, your best play is to forget the offline college student summer jobs and start building your online empire.
