Common Police Exam Questions

I wanted to take the time to talk to you about the common police exam questions that you'll receive. I think the number one reason that 70% of people fail this is exam is due to the fact that people don't have any clue what the questions will be like. The questions on the test are very tough, very application oriented and can sometimes almost read like a riddle. This exam isn't designed to fairly measure your aptitude. It is designed to make you screw up because the police department is only looking for the best, not the average. I'm going to share with you some of the common police exam questions, so you can see what you're getting into.

One of the most common questions that you'll find on this exam is the mug shot question. Basically they'll give you a mug shot and the picture of 4 other people that all look the same. You have to identify the person in the mug shot, in one of the other photos. This sounds relatively simple, but when all people look the same it's hard. There will be slight differences like a fatter/thinner face and shorter/longer hair. It's actually a tough question that requires you to really know what to look for when identifying a suspect.

Another one of the common police exam questions involves questioning suspects and victims of crimes. This is something that you'll do all the time as an officer, so it's obviously on the exam. Extracting information out of people is important and there is a specific method of asking questions. You have to demonstrate that for them.
