The Police Entrance Exams

I want to talk to you about the police entrance exams that you'll be forced to take if you want to get into the police force. The vast majority of people that take this exam will end up failing it. I think the number one reason that this occurs is that people just aren't prepared for it. The test is broken up into a lot of different sections, all of which is under a timer. They want to make sure you can read, write and know exactly what to do as a police officer. The recruitment department has the privilege of giving out this hard test because they need to have the best of the best, so don't complain that it was too hard. I'm here to talk to you about the police entrance exams.

The thing that a lot of people have trouble with is the timer. Since all sections are given only a little bit of time, you have to be able to demonstrate that you can act fast. You don't always have the time to read each question time or debate an answer out in your head. I think what you need to do to properly prepare for this is putting the timer on yourself at home. The more you practice like this, the more you'll get used to it.

Also, the police entrance exams are designed to measure your application knowledge, rather than any form of aptitude. They are going to ask you what you will do in specific situations from indentifying people from mug shots and questioning suspected criminals.
